My camera is a high def camera. I want to make a movie out of the videos that I take. Do I have to get a blu-ray disc and a blu-ray dvd player? I just have regular DVDs and DVD players.

Use a software program call ” ulead video studio 11″ you can edit and burn to dvd and blue ray (if you have a blue ray burner).
But make sure your computer is up to the recommendations, because you will need a powerful graphics card and processor, otherwise when you come to edit your hd clips it will keep sticking and jumping.
A good thing with Ulead video studio 11 is you can make proxy files of your hd clips which lowers the quality of your clips making them easy to edit, and when you come to putting it onto a disc it will render the clips back to hd quality.
Sounds complicated but easy once done a couple of times.
Ive made some great films with my hd camcorder and it looks great when watching on tv.
