I make home movies with my video camera and then when I burn them they only work on my computer not on my DVD player.

If I understand correctly, you would have to have it loaded on your computer and then burn it from your computer onto a dvd-r or dvd-rw
If you have a burn program and if not you can use windows media player (I think just about everyone has that)
