Question by fireflies(:: How do I convert my movies onto an itunes friendly file to play on my ipod using VLC media player?
i looked online at some guides and it said it could do this and gave instructions but i didnt follow it at all. I have a movie i bought on itunes already and it said it was an MPEG-4 file. It gave me the option of making it that (i think) but overrall it just really confused me. Does anyone know how to do this- preferably someone who has done it before.

Mpeg 4 is the format for iPods already.
iPods use Mpeg4 for Video and AAC for audio.
However, if you have a movie or song you want to make playable on an iPod, just select it in your playlist, and on the top menu select Advanced>Create iPod or iPhone Version. It will convert automatically for you.
