Question by Oliver M: How do i make an anime movie?
Making a hand-drawn animation with some elements of 3D. I need some advice on how to make it sucessful and also techniques to save time and money.
my equipment:
-pencils
-pens
-paper (lots and lots of paper like a whole trees worth)
-Computer with photoshop & maya
-Guitar, Keyboard & digital Drum kit
so i got most things ready
i already know how to animate and im an aspiring musician.
but what i dont know is how to make it effective and popular, i have never made one befor, so i’m looking for resources on how famous long-running Animes were created. like Naruto, dragonball, bleach, gundam. something like “the making of” a documentary style video to help me.
i found an awesome book but i have no money to buy it.
people on this website have a good nature to help solve problems so maybe someone has the kindness to spare a few dollar and buy me a book. hey its worth a try!

Ummmm…. it seems like you need marketing advice more than anything. Well, famous long running Animes worked because they developed a devoted fan base. Aside from finding a way to get your Anime out there I think it’s important that it’s actually charming and unique as well… I think something with mostly music and silence and subtitles or rarely any subtitles instead of words would be interesting. You wouldn’t have to pay for voice actors either. You can make copies to give to local comic shops and stores to sell. Ask for the manager of course and work something out. If you make some long mostly still scenes meant to seem like… deep or intense… like flashbacks or impacts, you’ll be able to make it faster. Just try not to make it too cheesy.
