How do I piece together video clips and photos?

Question by Fool for the City: How do I piece together video clips and photos?
I’m very very new to the process of movie-making, and as such, have very basic – almost primitive – software (Windows Movie Maker). I have several photos and video clips that I’d like to piece together into a longer video for my personal use. If possible, I’d like to mute the sound in the video clips as well, and I’d like to add an mp3 song (as background music) to the finished product.

Is it possible to do all this stuff in Windows Movie Maker? If so, how?

Yes it is possible. First you need to import the videos and pictures into Windows Movie Maker and drag them into the Storyboard in the order of your choosing. Then switch to Timeline mode and side click on the video(s) audio (below the Video tab in Timeline mode) and select Mute. Then import the audio of your choosing and drag it to the Audio/Music tab (below the Audio tab in Timeline mode) and then your done!!!

Hope this helped!!!
