Question by confuséd: How do you apply the fade-out effect to pictures on Windows Live Movie Maker?
I’m making a movie for my lit. class and I’m using all pictures, and on the very last picture I wanted to apply the fade-out effect so it doesn’t just suddenly cut to black, but I don’t see an option to do that anywhere, besides in Video Tools. And when I go there the option to fade-out is greyed out/locked. It’s just really annoying since the movie’s due tomorrow and I can’t figure out something as simple as fading out. Please help!

The fade out boxes you’re referencing are for the audio portions. Unfortunately there is no easy way to fade out video in Windows Live Movie Maker. The easiest way is to add a blank credits slide for the color you’d like to fade to and then insert the “Fade” transition between the last clip/image and the credit slide. This should create your desired fade effect and feel free to adjust the slide duration for a faster fade out. Hope this helps!
