Question by Tom F: How does one go about funding an independent feature length film?
A friend and I are in the early stages of putting together a zombie movie. We’ve done some stuff in the past, just with camcorders and other super low budget techniques, but we want to make this movie for real. All we have right now is a rough outline and a list of friends who might be interested in acting in the film. Are there any goverment grants, or companies who supply funding for this sort of thing? And what would be the best way to get a company to sponsor the film? I’m estimating somewhere in the field of $ 5,000-$ 10,000 to make this movie.

You guys must be in the Student Category….check out Sundance Film Festival and TCM for youth programs…..
