How does the WGA strike affect aspiring screenwriters?
Question by Barry E. Rice: How does the WGA strike affect aspiring screenwriters?
I’m an aspiring screenwriter and, as much as I’d love to sell a script, I recognize that I will eventually be working with the WGA and have no desire to go against them.
During the strike, can I still sell a script? If so, would I be considered to be crossing the picket line, despite the fact that I’m not a WGA member?

I’d say if you’re not currently in the guild, then do what you like.
Screenwriters probably won’t notice a lot of difference during the strike – name a studio or production company that doesn’t have 150,000 scripts sat on a shelf. TV shows will be affected though.
