Er the Roman alphabet is the script for Latin with a few very minor differences.
Actually its more likely the scribes may have used uncial or semiuncial.
Your local library should have books on the development of scripts showing Roman and Uncial Letter forms at the beginning of the linguistics section and also in the art area amongst the calligraphy and lettering books.
