I have written a script for a movie and I think the best way to get it out there is to make it myself but what does it take to make an indie film? Does it require a lot of money? Any advice at all will help

It depends really. I’d say a reasonable estimate for an indie film would be 10-50,000 dollars. It depends on the story, generally, the more simplistic the story the less it’s going to cost. In terms of what you’ll need, a director, a cinematographer, actors, that’s very bare bones, though. If you decide to fund the film, direct it, and shoot it all yourself it will be one of the most stressful events of your life. It takes a lot of dedication, and a lot of your own money, to make a film in today’s world, but if you really feel your story is good enough then it’s definitely worth making.
