How should I make a war film?
Question by Ryan: How should I make a war film?
I am making an independent war film about the Iraq war.
I want to make it realistic, but I can’t afford to leave the country, let alone the east coast.
Can anyone tell me some good locations, equipment, or anything that would be good for a war movie that I can use that’s on the east coast of the United States?
Please help me! My deadline for the film is January 2010!

My advice from one professional to another (i’m an actor) don’t mak a war movie. Honestly, people are not interested in war movies anymore because it’s all the same stuff. Not trying to put you down or make you feel bad about yourself but seriously, no more war movies. Most directors who are good and professional will tell you the same thing. Everybody stopped wanting to see war movies when Jarhead came out.
Come up with something original or do something that we see in movies all the time only put your spin on it or twist the plot around, sort of like a sci-fi movie.
