Question by Aus: how to make a 1080p movie?
i have some home videos i would like to put onto some disks. i currently use imovie and idvd but the quality is not so good. i am willing to buy a up-conversion software but don’t know witch one to get as there are many choices. i need it to be hd (1080p) because i have a 60 HD tv.(mitsubishi) i have heard that you can only get 480p on dvd. so do i need to buy a external blue-ray burner and blue ray movie software? i have a mac os 10.6.8 so i would like to be able to use mac software, because my other pc doesn’t even run ms office very well. i just need some help deciding which program to buy. i don’t want a up-coversion dvd player because i would have to make a disk to put into the player and then have the player make another disk. so software conversion is the only way to go.

Roxio Toast 11 titanium.
The pro upgrade lets you burn HD movies to a standard DVD disc.
Roxio Toast is what all pro mac users use for burning DVD’s.
