how to make a documentary?

i have a documentary to make on the underwater world (about its beauties, diving activity, pollution, issues and sollutions). i would like a few ideas of titles, and some tips on how to make it. it has to be about 30 min long, and i really dont know where to start. i made my highschool’s logo, and an intro. i have got about 2 hours of underwater footage from youtube, and i have pretty good skills on movie making (3ds max, after effects, pinnacle studio – i have the necesary software). so in short, i dont know where to start, i dont know the steps into making such a long documentary, when to add voice, i probably need a script. I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT I NEED! please give me some tips. thanks

You’ll need a camera, get footage of what you want,
get the footage from differenet angles,
capture it to your computer,
start editing with how you want the storyline to go!

i’d be more helpful but i’m to impatient to write it all down.
P.s. watch some documentarys also!
