How can I make professional quality movies, or make them look that way
for very little puny budgets. I have sony vegas. If you know a site or a podcast please list.

Puny budget like in under $ 250,000? for a short?

Do you have a script? Have you storyboarded it yet? Made your shot block list yet? These three things will help you budget the full production from shooting your first scene to the final cut before you print release prints.

It seems you have the editing software. What about the actual production equipment and crew? It will be difficult to actually know how much actual production gear you will need and when until you do get the storyboard completed and organize your scene blocking lists.

I am sure you know who you need for post production, since it is the one thing you say you have, software. The computer you have it on is somewhat important so it can assemble your edited material in large chunks based upon your rough cut and final editing sheet. I am sure you have a computer with at least dual processors and 8 gb of RAM and drives that are large and fast enough so you can do real time editing.

Hopefully you have a director who is well connected to a DP with the necessary assistants, lead gaffer, sound folks, set builders and all the rest of your production crew.

Good luck finding a good producer (money man/woman)
