I’m 15 years old and I wanna save up for a laptop. Mainly because I wanna make movies and go to films-school in my future. I’m tired of having to ask to use the desktop at my house which is so slow! anyway, I wish to be able to make movies and be able to play my Left 4 Dead2 game on it. So I know that I will need lots of space and a good videocard. So far I have $ 80.00 which is not even close! But can someone tell me/make a list of what I will need and/or get and the overall prices. It’s gotta be a laptop, NOT desktop. So I can game online with good graphics and make movies. I also have a job and make about $ 30.00 each time I go, which is about every other Sunday, cause its with my grandpaernts. thanks bye.

Ok. Here is what you need.

You need…
… an internet connection.
… a list of the games you want to play, other than Left 4 Dead.
You need these two things, because you need the internet to search for the system requirements of the games you are interested in.

Now, just based on Left 4 dead, you need, at a Minimum:
* Supported OS: Windows® 7 / Vista / Vista64 / XP
* Processor: Pentium 4 3.0GHz
* Memory: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
* Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible video card with 128 MB, Shader model 2.0. ATI X800, NVidia 6600 or better
… while Steam Recommends
# Supported OS: Windows® 7 / Vista / Vista64 / XP
# Processor: Intel core 2 duo 2.4GHz
# Memory: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
# Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible video card with Shader model 3.0. NVidia 7600, ATI X1600 or better

So, there is your list for specifications for that game. You should realize that different games have different system requirements. Now you know what to look for when laptop shopping. Oh, and you can make movies with any laptop.
