Don’t you think it would have been more accessible to the average person? More comprehensible? Less contradictory?
And what’s with the burning bushes and the talking snakes and the famines and plagues? Is this supposed to teach us something? Why all the threats and fear? Is this guidance? Is this love?
Why would the Creator write a book, anyway? Wouldn’t a movie make more sense?
If humanity is so important to the Creator, then why don’t we all just have a regular sit-down face-to-face get-together and celebrate the joy of Creation every once in a while?
Are all these bad-ass men in the world SO bad that they hold the rest of the world hostage in violence and poverty and the Creator can’t do anything about it except to threaten to punish them in some fiery afterlife?
Did 300 million innocent people die in the Indonesian tsunami by accident? Or did some perverse god punish them for…for what? For the sin of being born?
Explain this to me, please.

maybe he did write an awesome book – but his mortal editors haven’t done their job very well I’d say.
