I noticed that little movies are directly written; they’re all movies for books.
If I had to do this, I’d choose Dounble I dentety by Margaret Peterson Haddix. I loved that book.
That or another book by Margaret Peterson Haddix called among the imposters.

From my favorite author Richard Laymon, I would make all movies from his books,but If I had to choose the first I would make Endless Night
Plot: Cop’s daughter, Jody, is sleeping over at a friend’s when the killers break in. They slaughter the family but Jody escapes, killing a man on the way out. All rapist and murderer Simon Quist has to do now is dispose of the one eyewitness to the massacre. And he can’t wait to get his hands on Jody.
