Is it ok if i don’t do good in school because i’m just not interested?

Well… Where to begin… Currently i’m not doing that great in school (my first semester sat at a 3.1 but my 3rd quarter was a 1.95.) And I sat there one night and asked myself ‘Why am i doing so bad” and then it hit me. I just don’t care about the things i am learning. Personally, i want to be a Politician or do Public Relations for a company. but in school i’m learning about things like Biology and Flash Animation. To be honest i just don’t care about animals or making movies in flash. And my school won’t let me do Sociology, Psychology, Economics and other courses i’m interested in until grade 10 (i’m in grade 9.) So my question is, Is it normal to do bad in classes you just don’t care about?

Flash Animation can be used in politics and public relations. While biology is not my favorite subject, if you just off and quit, the other fields wouldn’t hire you.
