I have wanted to act all my life but no luck, now I have started to write my own roles in screenplays…If a producer happened to like a script of mine, would I automatically get the role?
Didnt that lady from My Big Fat Greek Wedding do it?

And Matt Damon and Ben Affleck?

Not necessarily. I don’t think it would be a good idea to have a screenwriter play a role in his/her script.

Screenwriters tend to be behind the camera, making sure that the production stays true to the script.
