Is LA really worth it?

Question by Roman K: Is LA really worth it?
I keep having this image that its this beautiful place…. until recently. I visited a forum called city-data.com….. there’s a ton of negative comments about it… for every positive comment there are 5 negatives.some recent ones were….. LA will be underwater by 2057…. gang capital of US….. insane housing prices…… etc.

so i ask this, is the good weather, beach really worth it to move out there? and how the heck does an average joe not some movie star make a living there? i mean with a salary under 100k.

LA is an armpit, however there are some beautiful surrounding areas, if you have money the LA area is great. If you do not then not so good.
