I recently purchased Song Vegas Movie Studio with some saved money (Platinum Addition, I dunno if it made a difference, but it sounded nice lol, plus it had a nice-looking guy on the cover) because I heard it’s a fantastic movie editing program, and since I needed a step-up from Windows Move maker, I figured it would be a nice upgrade for just fun fan videos I make in my spare time.
I read through most of the guide, and am installing it now, so I googled just tips on it, but it seems kinda hard to understand. Will it just take some practice to get used to? Are there any tips you can offer to help me out and get started with the basics?
I’m familiar with Windows Movie Maker and Ulead Video Studios (Trial Version) very well, is it similar?

Not at all. It’s very easy to use.
Although I hear a lot of people say it is difficult. Those people should stick with wmm.
