Is This A Good Short Letter To A Film Agency?
Question by Turn On The Bright Lights: Is This A Good Short Letter To A Film Agency?
Below, I have been copying and pasting that same message to companies, trying to get my work out there. Do you think that this is a good short letter to post: Would like to hear your thoughts and feedback. Thanks:
Short Letter:
I have attached a two page synopsis for my Drama feature and would hope that you will be able to read it and see what you think of it.
I am a passionate individual concerning film and the industry and I have been writing scripts for several years, but have only now decided to begin to try and sell
my work. I am 22 years of age. I have a diploma in Media Production and I studied Film Production at university for a year. If you would be able to give me some feedback, that would be much appreciated. I have completed the full length script, but wanted you to read the synopsis beforehand.
I have attached two files, just in case one doesn’t open. One is a PDF format and the other is a Microsoft Word format.
Thank you for your time.
Kind Regards

The letter is okay although it could be tightened up grammatically and formalized a bit more.
One thing I would say though is that I hope you’ve registered and copyrighted your script before sending anything out. A friend of mine who writes film scripts always does this before pitching to anyone.
Good luck.
