I am trying to figure out is this competition is really legal. Is sounds fun to enter, making parodies of famous movies but can I get in trouble for it?

Parodies NEVER need permission from the copyright owner of a song or movie..
Weird Al never had to ask to parody songs, but he always asked the artist anyway out of respect..
