My camera broke on March 7, 2008.
You know, when it broke, I didn’t really believe it broke. I mean surely it could be fixed right?
But it was a Blue Screen of Death (or the equiv) and really it was kaput unless I wanted to sink 0 into fixing it.
And while I would have (I loved that camera) I knew I could get a new camera for not much more than that.
And here she is.
Bonus:
Yardsale was also looking for a new camera. And because I am an evangelist at heart, I was constantly selling him on the Canon S5. Slowly he began to See the Light and shop for deals.
And no one is a better Shopper for Deals than yardsale (hence name).
So he calls me at work two weeks ago saying he found this great deal at Dell.com and blahdiblahdiblah and next thing you know *I* was on the Dell web site loading up my shopping cart. 🙂
I’m just so relieved to have a camera again. PLUS I can take MOVIES! Do you know how hard it was to be a Flickr Video Beta Tester and not even have a camera with which I could make new movies (I had to use old ones). BRUTAL. But now… yea! 🙂
