legally Selling Home Movies?
Question by MattiFS: legally Selling Home Movies?
ok, my friends and i are making a movie, the script is finished, the parts are cast, ect, now, we want to know if/how we can sell it without breaking any copyright laws, i’ve heard that you can legally use music that’s about 30 years old for free, is this true? thanks.

Copyright comes in where any commercially sold item is seen, used, heard, etc.
Music, Brand name products (such as Dell computers, Pepsi cola, Crest toothpaste)
You have to have licenses to use all of these things and sell it legally. No, just because it’s older than ‘about 30 years’ does not mean it’s free. Check out the Harry Fox agency for musical licensing at harryfox.com
Sorry. But, legally you have a whole boatload of paperwork to do.
