When I was a kid, I saw this movie. Here is the only part of the movie I remember:
There were two brothers, maybe 9 and 6ish. Their parents were maybe getting a divorce, or the dad was abusive, or some trauma like that, I don’t remember. Anyway, the older brother wants to escape and also protect his kid brother, so after seeing a magazine article about child soldiers, he tells his brother that he is actually a robot and as proof says that S.A.M. stands for something about machines…or…something, I don’t remember. The older claims that they need to get out of the house before the younger is activated to go fight in a war. They go to an airport and the older makes the younger chew on a gum wrapper. It shocks Sam, making the older claim that he’s been “activated” and they must now escape. At the end of the movie you find out that the younger brother had a filling and that’s why chewing a gum wrapper shocked him.
That’s all I remember about the whole movie. I thought it was called “S.A.M.” but that’s not anywhere…does anyone recognize this movie? Thanks!
