Lost video on Windows Movie Maker?

Okay, so I was in the process of making a video and I took a second to open up another video. Instead of just opening, it deleted my whole other video. It’s gone. I can’t find it in any of my files, unless it turned into a weird file I can’t open. The file is labeled tmp. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know how I can get the video back?

yes. and you cant get it back, its gone
