Mac vs PC help, which to get?

Question by : Mac vs PC help, which to get?
For my birthday I can get a laptop, but it cant be that expensive. My parents want to get me a PC because they are cheaper, but i heard a mac was better. I just wanted to know some general advice. Here are also some things I’m looking for in a laptop.

-Thin and easy to carry around, not bulky (bringing it 2 school)
-I want it to be able to play Sims because I like that game
-One with good movie making software
-One with get picture editing software
-A good, fast laptop

Mac, even though they are expensive they are much better than a PC!
