As someone that has gained a reputation as a hitman for some of his most popular characters, Terry approaches writing fearlessly and discusses his approach with total candor. Just a few days before the Emmys, he let’s us in on the experience of being nominated, winning and losing, and he also draws parallels between the world of the 20s and today’s political climate. GUEST BIO: Terence Winter is an Emmy winning writer and producer for TV and film. A graduate of St. John’s University School of Law he practiced law in New York City before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a screenwriting career. He earned a spot in the Warner Bros. Sitcom Writers Workshop and later began writing for the Fox series “The Great Defender.” Terence also wrote for series including, “Sister, Sister,” “Xena: Warrior Princess,” “The Cosby Mysteries,” and “Diagnosis Murder” to name just a few. He wrote the screenplay for the 50 Cent film “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” and was writer and producer of “Brooklyn Rules.” Winter also worked as writer, executive producer and director on “The Sopranos.” He wrote or co-wrote 25 episodes and in 2004 won two Emmys for his work as Executive Producer and writer.
