hey, everybody my friend olivia really wants to be a director of commercials and movies..she is 20 years old, and goes to a junior college in IL she going in to nursing..but in the future she wants to go to film school and direct edgy stuff. she is very artistic and has a way of making art come to life..like theres a message to it. she wants to be the next tim burton. how can she start her dream?

Buy whatever camera and editing software you can afford and start making movies. Learn from each project and try to make each one a little more polished than the last. Watch the making of documentaries in the extras on DVDs and listen to the director’s commentaries. Volunteer for local student films and learn what works and doesn’t.
