Question by Sim: My dream is to make a long story from my head into a “movie”. What program(s) should I use?
Okay, as you can tell by the title, I have a story idea in my head that I wish to create in the form of a movie. I have wanted to do this for so long. I’ve had the characters in my head for years. It’s time to figure out what I need to do to make it happen. I could write but I want to be able to see and hear what goes on, not simply imagine it. Unfortunately, there are many roadblocks. I’m not rich, I’m not able to have people participate in filming any kind of homemade movie, and I’m no artist or programmer. However, I’m willing to practice drawing and such in order to make this happen. I know of the programs Macromedia Flash and Poser. I have no experience with either or anything similar, but this is simply a personal project that I wish to create for myself and involve no one else. It can take as many years as it needs to. Would either of these programs be appropriate for what I wish to do? I do not mind making the “movie” in separate small parts. I’m assuming Flash is more simple, in a way, but requires more artistic skill. If you have any other suggestions, they are appreciated. Thank you in advance.
