Question by : Need help making a dvd playable in my regular dvd player?
I recently added the media converter add-on for firefox that takes vids from youtube, metacafe, etc. and converts them to a number of formats. What I am looking to do is download tube vids, and burn them to a dvd+rw disc that will play in any normal dvd player. I have a dvd burner, and vista home basic as my operating system. The movie maker software that came with the vista home basic says I can publish vids and make them for data dvd’s, but not burn a disc that will play on my dvd player unless I have the premium or professional version of vista.
2 main questions… what format should I download the vids in from the web (mpg, avi, etc.)?
and how can I burn a playable dvd in a standard player…?
I know this is a lot of information I’m asking for, so thanks for the help in advance…

1 answer download in mpeg.
you need to use software like mpeg2dvd or nero vison to burn dvd video playable in a standard dvd player.
3 you need a dvd burner in the computer unless you already have one.
