Question by music is life: PLEASE HELP! Can someone help me with this idea for a movie?
So I’m writing a screenplay to submit to a contest. So far my idea is for it to be about a young violinist living in the early 1900’s Russia. He’s a teenage boy who’s really poor, but has a huge passion for the violin. He studies with a teacher at this really nice music school that gets bombed. He also has a lot of family issues. I’m not really sure how to take it from here. I was thinking about making it so that he gets involved with his instructor, and older woman, but then I thought that would be too much like the movie The Reader (that’s kind of where I got the inspiration from). Can someone help me with some ideas/suggestions/comments? Thanks so much, I really appreciate your insight.

This young dude could get hired to work for the enemy’s igh society parties. He would grow up hating those who pay him until he finds a young lady who ends up being a bitch who uses him for her own purposes.
He could become a very famous composer and get deph (like Beethoven). Or he could get rich by making violines that at some point in the play will have a very important functions such as to transport some stuff from one side of the battling field to the other.
