My stepdad told my mom he is moving away to go back to his business. He told her that she can go and stay with him, or she could stay where she is and divorce him. She seems really depressed (she used to be depressed) and she is crying a lot. I don’t know what to do. My sister and I are pretty upset. I just want to know how I could cheer her up. She used to abuse pre scripted drugs and I don’t want her to do anything stupid like that. Also my real dad won’t help her. She wants to stay with us but she doesn’t know if she can because our stepdad is selling everything. Please help!!!!

There is always more to the story between your mom and your step-dad that you children are not privy to. Sorry that the children always get hurt in these situations….
