Q&A: Can I run web scripts on a local machine?

Question by pasawayz: Can I run web scripts on a local machine?
I’d like to test some web scripts that I have, but have very few time to upload and test them on a web server. Can I run web scripts on my own computer, and what programs should I download?
I’m usually tinkering on PHP language. Would also appreciate if you post in about other scripting languages also.
I’m currently using Windows XP.

look buddy first of all you haven’t mentioned clearly what kind of scripts you wanna try…

anyway if you wanna run Jaavscript you can do it easily …all you need to do is enable the option in browser like internet explorer and mozilla firefox(in firrefox no need to enable this option)
