Question by G: Do you find it strange that so many movies, books and especially songs, are about romance?
I mean, this is such a very small part of life, if not totally absent. Especially for people around my age, this is really irrelevant stuff. I am a regular, yet successful, single, straight 31 year old male. I have never had a girlfriend or even had my first kiss yet. I really don’t see how these movies, songs, books make any money, especially with my age group.
Can you explain?

Well, a lot of people in your age group are either considering marriage and families or already have them. Not what I would call “irrelevant”.
