Q&A: Good Editing Software……?

Question by Star J: Good Editing Software……?
So I LOVE to make movies and edit them for school projects and just for fun. I have Windows Movie Maker and it has gotten me through a lot but know I don’t think it is meeting my standards as I become more advanced. I really want to make movies like the real Hollywood editors. I know I can’t do that exactly but that leds me to my question…..What is the editing program/software that is closest to the real thing….in other words the best there is.

If you have the money, check out Sony Vegas Pro (for basic editing) and Adobe After Effects (for effects)
