Question by grandma zaza: Have you seen the movie “Avatar” and did you find it racist?
I don’t usually go here but…..

My daughter came home last night after seeing the movie and when we asked her how the movie was she said, “It was SO obvious what the director was trying to do. It was SO racist.”

She went on to say that it was racist both ways, towards “whites” and those of “color” because the movie sees people of “color” as less developed beings who don’t have the intelligence to overcome adversity, and that they need the “white” man to save them from the evil greedy business owners, who are also white. She said all the evil people are white, but that the movie makes those of color look stupid and helpless.

She also said that it was not very creative because the story could have been taken out of a history book.
