I recently watched one – “Jodhaa Akbar” and it was pretty ok, but how the hell do these movies make so much?? And many many news agencies here and abroad claim that it is the biggest movie industry in the world!! Is it bigger than hollywood?

Its all about population. Considering that India has a population three times that of the USA, that gives them the advantage with the shear numbers needed to make, distribute and sell the movies Bollywood needs to have a bigger film industry. Even if a movie never leave India’s borders, that is still 1/6 of all people on EARTH that can be exposed to it.
