I have movies of various formats on my PC. How do I make it so I can watch them on my home DVD player? Do I have to convert them before I burn them to DVD? If so convert to what? What software will I use to convert. Where will I get said software? Thanks

Have a look at this site. It has a free downloadable application that automatically converts a MPEG or AVI video to a DVD format so that it can then be burnt, also using the software.
