Q&A: How do you rip movie parts onto your computer to later put them into a music youtube video? (Steps Please)?
Question by MindStorm: How do you rip movie parts onto your computer to later put them into a music youtube video? (Steps Please)?
I want to rip movie clips from films I like and use them in fun music video type movies for youtube. I’ve tried but it is not easy for me. I know I need some kind of ripping program (is there a legal or very safe one?) and suggestions can be made. One for PCs and one for MAC (Apple) please.
But what I really want is a step by step guide about how to do this. No fancy computer hacker lingo… I’m not ready for that yet.
I just want to make fun and meaningful music videos showing movie clips that go along with my favorite books or shows. Thanks for any help.

you need a cd/dvd extractor… that will help you extract the movies into clip from your cd/dvd with… http://www.magicdvdripper.com/ – make sure the file format is correct such as wmv, mpg, or avi (else youtube will not accept them).
Then import into moviemaker for editing.
—for best editing..
use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)… it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/lyrics/etc)…. then save it as video file such as wmv… finally upload.
or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces….
this will help you…. Use ‘zillatube’. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.
Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.
It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker… save your file as wmv and then upload.
It works very well….just google search for “zillatube”, and select the first search result for download…
