How do you use scripts in Powerpoint? Ive downloaded a script called videostream from SourceForge, which will allow me to add a quicktime video to my powerpoint presentation that plays during the whole slide show.
In the videostream folder is a bunch of .PL files along with some folders. Not sure at all how to use this in Powerpoint. Thanks

PL means that the scripts are Perl.
I doubt that it’ll work, but these are the steps to try…
1. Install a Perl interpreter. There are a number of them built to run on Windows with varying success. Some have memory leaks. Others don’t support some Perl commands. You’ll just have to Google them and try them one at a time to see which ones will work for you.
2. Generally, MS products don’t natively support Perl although MS Dev tools sometimes do. MS supports code wrtten in VBscript mostly. If your Perl code has any chance of running, from PPT 2003,
Tools > Macro > Microsoft Script Editor
Good Luck.
Email me directly if you have success, I’d sure be interested if what you’re trying to do works.
