Q&A: how to capture a still image in a movie using Vegas Movie studio?

Question by Jacob: how to capture a still image in a movie using Vegas Movie studio?
I am trying to get make a less than one second scene in a movie stay still for approximately 5 seconds. How would one do this in Vegas Movie Studio Platinum. I have made it alone and tried streching it but that doesnt work. Any ideas?

Alright…it would work like this

1) open the video in the trimmer, select (drag little yellow arrow above the timeline in trimmer) the part in your movie up to the scene you want to loop.

2) copy that part to one of the video chanels

3) do the same with the other part of the video, leaving space between the two

4) save the scene you want to expand to disk with the “save snapshot to file” button

5) add that snapshot in between the two video chunks, stretching it out as long as you want to

6) move the second chunk so it touches the first one.
