Q&A: how to make a soundtrack for a movie?

Okay, i am making a 3d animation movie on Autodesk Maya, 3ds max, and other softwares are involved. The movie is a fighting movie, similar to the fighting of dragonball z. But I want to have a heavy metal soundtrack, with bands from multiple record labels. How do i get the songs i want to use, do i have to call every record label and get permission for the songs and pay royalties right on the spot, or will they take it out from the earnings of the movie, please help, i really need to know this.
I cant JUST use the songs because the movie will be released by either warner bros, dreamworks, or inteprasquad studios

Just use the songs- not knowing what you’re doing means you won’t make any money anyway, so you won’t get sued. The worst that could happen is the soundtrack is deleted from a youtube version.
