Question by Alex P.: How to make text more appearable on a busy background in photoshop?
I’m making a movie poster for one of my classes and i have a picture of a gym as the background and its an assortment of colours (black, grey, white, etc.) The text i have is red and black. How do i make the text more appearable?
Sorry i meant visible, not appearable

Put a mask behind it, so that the contrast is better, or put a (dark) glow effect on the lettering. Similar to how the tear is used to improve contrast on this movie poster: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/2e/Frozen-river-movie-poster.jpg
