Okay, so here’s the basics:
I’m a 19 year old student and I just moved in an amazing apartment with my cousin (she’s also 19). The only problem is the rent’s a little high so we opted for a third roommate. My friend (that’s I’ve known for like two years now) said he needed a place to stay while going to college, so he asked if he could move in.
He moved in like a month ago, and I now have one other problem: I’m pretty damn sure I have a huge crush on him.
The thing is, I never thought of him that way when I first met him, and then he got a girlfriend so I REALLY didn’t think of him that way. But about three months ago they broke up, and like the week before he moved in we all went to the bar together, we both got really drunk, and we ended up dancing together, holding hands (I almost kissed him too) and such. (although, as soon as our friends came in view our hands let go and we went our separate ways.)
It’s been about a month, and I’ve been trying to push it back. I don’t know what to do, because everyone I’ve asked keeps saying things like “you guys can’t get together, your roommates” or “that’s a very dangerous idea, don’t go for it”
So do I do nothing? like I THINK he likes me, but It might just be friendly gestures and such. Like me and him talk more than my cousin and him do, but I figured its cause were friends and he doesn’t really know my cousin like he knows me.
He also mentions his girlfriend sometimes, so I don’t know if that means something (it’s always in passing, like “when me and ___ were dating, we did this” or something like that)
And that time we watched a movie with his favorite actress in is, he was CONSTANTLY making remarks on how pretty and amazing she was (It was kind of pissing me off)
We talk about lots of stuff, he helps me with my homework, and he showed me some of his favorite bands the other day (Which I LOVED!)
We randomly go eat (even if its just fast food places) and we talk for hours.
But whenever there’s other people over he’ll go in his room and stay there, and when he does he’ll mostly just talk to me.
I don’t know what the heck is going on, but he’s a great roommate, a great guy, and he confuses the shit out of me. If there’s a guy out there that knows what he’s doing, let me know!!

Well I’m not a guy but it sounds like that one night at the bar could have been just because you both were drinking and the other times sound like he just needs a friend right now and if he is still talking about his ex than he might be having trouble getting over her. If anything just talk to him and tell him how you feel.
