Question by blossom: I have a very hard decision to make about film making..?
I really love film making and think about it all of the time. I think about different videos I could make for songs and for movies while I read books! I’m only 16, so I’m not worried about college yet, but next year I’m signed up to take a film making class at a program that my school offers for free. It’s not at the school, it’s at another school. But, it’s in the afternoon and we take a bus over there. I would have to take three periods out of my school day to do this, plus a little time after school. While there is a film elective at my school itself, I feel like we will not learn as much because the teacher is not experienced with it. I really do not know what to do. I only have a little time to talk to my guidance counselor and have to really think about this. I have some electives that I want to do at my high school, but I don’t know if I should do them in senior year and do this now. If you could help me, it would be very appreciated! Thank you!

Im 16 and love film making too! I think if you have a strong passion for film and you really want to do the program, I think it would be really beneficial for you. I am currently in a Video & Film class at my school and I really enjoy it. I have learned so much this year and I’m taking another Film class next year. I would say, you should definitely do it if you’re looking to persue a career in filmaking. good luck! 🙂
