SPOILERS!!!! (Don’t read this if you havent read the books)
That would be so amazing, if the Sword of Truth series could be made into a movie and not a TV show. I believe it can possibly be done, with striking visuals; Richard, Kahlan and Zedd’s magic, the Boundary, Richards arrows that are being shot from a great distance, and of course the scenes from the book (like when Richard first uses the Sword of Truth or of when Richard, Kahlan, Zedd, and Darken Rahl are in the Garden of Life in the People’s Palace near the end of the book). I would definitely sit in the theater if this would be a 2hr or maybe 3hr long movie, if the movie is VERY close to the book. I believe the length of the book can be told in that length of time within the movie (maybe add an extra hour to the length if need be, but it will be TOTALLY worth the money and time in the end). Well anyway i had an idea of two things; one, the director and the second; the actor.
If there is going to be a movie based on the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind, who do you think would be best as the director? I think Peter Jackson would be great for this kind of movie series. What are your thoughts on this?
Also here’s something else to think about: Do you think that the actor, Henry Cavill, would be perfect for the role of Richard Cypher? He has that humble appearance as a woods guide and also has that aristocratic countenance as well (for when Richard Cypher learns that he is the bloodline of the House of Rahl). Look at the roles that Henry has played in and connect that with the appearance of Richard Cypher from the books, and voila! He has the experience of a nobleman in “The Count of Monte Cristo” and he has that humble look from when he was in “I Capture the Castle.” Having those two qualities would be perfect for the role as Richard Cypher. It may take time to think about it; even i didn’t see it right away, just think about. Think of this: would you agree that he will be great for the role with scenes like when Richard is being trained by Denna, or when Richard and Kahlan first meet Rachel, or of when Richard teaches Kahlan how he shoots an arrow head, like a mile away and still hits the target dead on (correct me if i’m wrong about that)? Wouldn’t Henry Cavill be perfect for the role as Richard, what are your thoughts on this?

Just something to think about. I do not know if there is going to be a movie but i do soooooooo wish that there will be one!! hopefully if there is one, it would be true to the book and be of an epic genre! 🙂

Yeah!! I agree…. the legend of the seeker tv series sucks… they changed all the details which made it all so logical..now the tv series is just illogical and nothing like book and got no general direction nd reasons for the actions of characters…
the most imporatant thing they changed is the introduction of sisters of light and mordsith and all the history of different things backgrounds etc..
It would be totally awesome to have a movie franchise based upon books.. and by imagination i can say that given right budget and directors and actors the movie can be made one up to the level of lord of the rings…. It can be made one of the most awesome action by an actor really showing the rage… it can only be done by good acting and other things…..
I also wish that there shud be a muvee for sword of truth series….
