Question by Ryan: Is it legal to have Adolf Hitler as a character in my independent movie without permission?
I am making a low-budget indie film based on World War II. I have been looking for a long time for someone in my town that resembles Hitler and I finally found him.
I was going to have the main character in the movie confront Hitler for the end of the movie.
I just want to know if it’s legal to have Hitler as a character in my movie without asking anyone for permission (like Germany or Austria for instance)
