i have a pc, so no imovie for me, and i really don’t feel like shelling out money for sony vega, so will it work well enough or is it just crap

Yeah, it’s good enough. It’s actually capable of making some really awesome stuff once you get the hang of it. But save frequently because it has a bad habit of crashing.
